A Coole Solution

Richard Farleigh has teamed up with UK inventor Nigel Coole to create Coole Solutions Ltd. Following a number of meetings with Richard's team the two men met for the first time in London in September 2007 and Coole Solutions was formed shortly afterwards. The new company was formed to exploit the radically new Slip-it® bra and lingerie fastener that Nigel invented. The fiddly, and old fashioned, hook & eye fasteners that everyone hates should soon be a thing of the past! Nigel said "from the moment I realised the commercial potential of the new fastener I knew I had to work with someone I could trust and get on with. Being an avid fan of the BBC programme 'Dragon's Den' I knew that not only was Richard a very successful business man but he was also someone I thought I could get on with, and to me that is very important." Nigel, a retired Army Officer and 3rd Dan Karate instructor, added that "despite all my experience I was still so nervous when I met Richard for the first time. It was daft really because Richard made me feel so welcome and we haven't looked back since!"

Hook & eye fasteners have been in use for over 100 years with numerous unsuccessful attempts at replacing them; however, Richard recognised that the simplicity of Nigel's design is going to appeal to women both young and old. The Slip-it® fastener is unique in that not only is it easy to fasten, but it is even easier to unfasten; one handed unfastening behind the back is no longer going to be a problem – even for men!

Nigel approached Richard for support for the product whilst still in the development phase. The design has now been finalised and both UK and Worldwide Patent applications are pending. Support for the Slip-it® fastener within the lingerie industry has been overwhelmingly positive. Richard was delighted to be invited to be part of a truly global product that is going to revolutionise and re-invigorate the lingerie industry the world over.
